Bushido on my back. A samurai on a horse holding a bow... It took me a couple of years to come up with an idea I knew I could live with the rest of my life. Erik Payne of Inkvision Tattoo is the artist.

I counted beads on a thread for twelve hours, three sittings. I still don't know how many beads are on that damn thing; its either 98, 99 or 101. I think I had it right at one time, but naturally, that was not the point of counting. I love it, thanks all for the kind words...

Absolutely breathtaking. This is by far one of the best tattoo's I have ever seen, for execution and beauty. The angle is very dynamic and its powerful, congrats! That is absolutely amazing.

this is amazing! did you go in with a design for this or did the artist use his own? i was wondering as i was looking for something very similar to this, but i am unsure where you would get such a piece of art

Hi Jerps, thanks for the comment. It took me a couple of years to come up with the design. I wanted something I could live with the rest of my life; it had to be about me of course... not an ego thing, more of a belief. I took the artist my artwork, along with all of the other elements that I wanted to include in the piece. It's a "one off" that I created.

I put a lot of elements into the design that are very personal to me ... reference would be fine of course, just wouldn't want to see another person with the same ink. On the other hand, I suppose if I cared that much, I wouldn't have posted the picture. So yea, reference is fine; pick your own elements and design though?
